A resident of New Paltz for 17 years, Don has been a leader in this community. Longtime owner of Wet-Tek, a New Paltz based business specializing in the municipal water and wastewater industry, Don raised his family in New Paltz.
Active in the high school PTSA and Reformed Church choir in earlier years, Don has since served on the Land Use and Transportation Study Committee, a consolidation subcommittee, as
President of the Board of Education,
and is Chair of the Joint Village/Town Public Access Committee (where he has served as a Town and a Village rep).
In addition to Wet-Tek and volunteer activities, Don has helped to create more than 50 episodes of the public access TV series Slice of New Paltz, and has created and commercialized a groundbreaking community water treatment system designed for use in communities in the developing world that lack access to clean water.
